2.9 Any products purchased through this website will not be kept under review, however, we can arrange reviews if you instruct us to do so.
2.10 We maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance in respect of any of the products intermediated by the Company.
2.11 We do not hold money on behalf of clients.
2.12 Nothing in these terms or conditions excludes or limits our duties or any liability under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, as amended, (“FSMA”) or any conduct of business rules developed pursuant to FSMA.
3.1 Our aim is at all times to provide you with an excellent service. However, if you are unhappy with our service for any reason, please contact our Customer Services Team at the address above, by telephone on 0115 824 4433 or by email at email@example.com
3.2 Upon receipt of your complaint a dedicated complaint handler will contact you via telephone so we can resolve your complaint as soon as possible. When we provide a final response we will inform you of your right to refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service and you must do so within six months if not satisfied.
We will enclose a copy of the Financial Ombudsman Services explanatory leaflet when we send the final response. While we would always aim to complete an investigation within eight weeks, if, for any reason, our investigation is not concluded within this period, we will write to you again. We will inform you of the reasons for the further delay and advise that if you are not satisfied with our progress then you may refer the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

8.1 Each registration is for a single user only. The Company does not permit you to share your user name and password with any other person nor with multiple users on a network.

When you register we will email you a six digit PIN with which you will be able to sign in once within the following seven days. When you sign in using your PIN you will be asked to choose a password. We set a minimum strength requirement upon your choice of password but otherwise you can make the password as strong as you wish.

12. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
12.1 Any information supplied to Ensure Protection is used to provide advice and/or recommendations for protection insurance products such as Life Insurance or Income Protection. The protection policies provided are administered by Ensure Protection, and we will be handling the personal information you provide.
This includes any sensitive personal data such as health information which you provide as part of the application process. Where a joint application is completed, Ensure Protection and your chosen insurer will sometimes send application updates to the contact information you provide, this will include updates about both applicants. Where we collect and process health information, we may ask each insured person to authorise a healthcare provider to supply relevant supporting information, including, where relevant, health information about their family or personal history.
Ensure Protection may use personal information for the following purposes:
- Provide you with a quotation and a recommendation based on your needs;
- Apply for and set up your plan;
- Administer your plan;
- Review your cover;
- Claims handling;
- For the prevention, detection and investigation of financial crime, including fraud;
- To verify your identity, in accordance with the money laundering regulations;
- Statistical and analytical research;
- Where necessary, to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We may also use your personal information for marketing purposes, but only if you have provided the relevant consent and you would still hold the right to opt out at any time. See section 5 for more information on that.
We will use your information for the purposes listed above. For any other purpose, where appropriate and required, we’ll contact you to ask for your permission.

• Selected partners for the provision of incentives and rewards, such as vouchers, movies and meals, and other reward schemes;
• Listed below are other third parties that we carefully select, who we may share your personal information with when appropriate:
Iress (The Exchange quoting portal), Ensure Estate Planning (for the creation of a Will), Trustpilot (for the collection of feedback), Pure360 (our email service provider who send our marketing emails), Voucher Express & World Privilage (for the provision of any promotional offers and vouchers),
12.3 The legal grounds we rely on to process your information
The legal grounds on which we rely are:
• to fulfil our contractual obligations (for example in order to provide the products or services you have requested and to contact you if a problem arises with them);

12.4 Legitimate interests

• For market research and analysis. This helps us to regularly review and improve the products and services we or our partners provide. Where possible data that we use/provide in this way will be in an anonymised format.
You have the right to object to our use of your personal information for these legitimate interests. If you raise an objection we will stop processing your personal information unless very exceptional circumstances apply, in which case we will let you know why we are continuing to process your personal information.
12.5 Controlling your marketing preferences
When you submit details for a protection insurance quotation through our website, through 3rd parties or other websites affiliated with LifeSearch, you will be asked if you’d like to opt-in or opt-out of receiving future marketing communications from Ensure Protection and any of our carefully selected partners. This is recorded on our customer database.
We will only send marketing communications to you via the preferences you’ve chosen and regularly make the appropriate checks to ensure that we abide by those rules and only send communications to those who’ve requested as such.
Methods of communication for marketing will typically be (but not limited to); phone, email, text message, post.
During your protection insurance journey, Ensure Protection reserves the right to use any of the above communication methods to get in contact and service your enquiry, even to those who’ve opted out of marketing communications – for as long as is deemed appropriate, but not longer than 60 days.
